VENDIA at Kallavesj’ 2015 exhibition

VENDIA will be at Kallavesj’ 2015 exhibition in Kuopio, Finland from 10th to 12th April. Kallavesj’ 2015 is a fair for boating, tourism, and leisure time so there will be something to see to whole family. On VENDIA’s presentation stand you will get to know to VENDIA marine plank and other products from VENDIA product family. There will be also the next generation VENDIA marina plank, VENDIA Pro, which was introduced at Helsinki International Boat Show in February 2015.

VENDIA bends also in the hands of beginners

Many people dream of building an own wooden boat but many of us wonder the lack of experience. Building a wooden boat is fine handicraft but at the same time it is demanding work, so different kind of boatbuilding courses are excellent places for the beginners to build the first wooden boat. For example in Finland the local adult education centres arrange boatbuilding courses for the beginners. There is a professional teacher on the course who teaches the boatbuilding step by step. Also the materials and drawings are arranged on behalf of the course so it is easy to start the boatbuilding.

Sliced veneer vs. peeled veneer

Many people have asked what is the difference between VENDIA marine plank and normal plywood. We will introduce more detailed the differences and features of VENDIA and normal plywood in a separate posting, but today we are introducing the differences in making the veneers.
The both, VENDIA and normal plywood are made of veneer but the most significant difference is the way how the veneer is cut. VENDIA marine plank is made of sliced veneers whereas plywood is made of peeled veneers. What is the difference between sliced veneer and peeled veneer then?

Helsinki International Boat Show 2015

VENDIA had busy 10 days in Helsinki when over 73 000 people visited Vene Båt 2015 fair on 6.-15.2.2015. There was a constant bustle at wooden boat section. It was nice to note that wooden boats still interest people and wood as a natural material is even on the up and up from previous years. Many of the visitors sighed how wonderful the wood smells.

Helsinki International Boat Show continues

There has been lots of visitors at Helsinki International Boat Show and the fair continues until Sunday 15th February. VENDIA has attracted wide publicity and admiration at the boat fair. Hopefully many wooden boats made of VENDIA marine plank will be seen on the waters on the next summer.

Welcome to visit at the VENDIA’s presentation stand!
